Avonhead Baptist Church

The client requested a dividing system that would allow the auditorium to be split from the front foyer of the church - a 14 metre span! This would create two separate areas and needed an easy to operate door system. They also requested no bottom guides and the ability to see through to the other area when the doors are closed.

Opus contacted CS FOR DOORS  for a consultation to see what solution we could come up with. A number of options were presented, along with samples and cost indications.

The final solution is a multiple stacking OvertakingDoors unit with 7 doors sliding from one pocket, which creates a clear walk through area 12 metres wide. The middle doors operate as a Bi-Parting unit to enable the centre of the church to be used as a walk through traffic area. The doors are top hung, with no floor guides.

The client and the congregation are very happy with the results. The doors are very easy to use and they slide away nicely into the cavity to open up the area.
